Kansas Care, a regional home health company, was established by my husband and me in 1987. We believed in offering help in the home for individuals who wished to remain independent.
After returning to college in 1979 to complete a Master of Science degree in Institutional Management, I was employed as a Consultant Registered Dietician to Long Term Care facilities. It was there that I perceived an opportunity to assist people to remain in their homes and to receive health care in their home setting through nursing care and assistance with activities of daily living. The agency name, Kansas Care, stems from our pride in our native state and our belief in rural communities. This strong commitment to rural health care remains a focal point for the company which now has several branch offices and employs full time nurses, home health aides, office personnel, and administrative staff. Throughout the years the mission of Kansas Care has remained the same - to provide quality, caring home health services to our clients. It is my belief that home health care is a cost effective method of health care that enables individuals to live independently with dignity.

I am the nurse manager at Kansas Care in Salina. I have been a nurse for 3 years. I am proud to provide home health services so our clients can remain in the comfort of their own homes while receiving the care they need.

Nurse Manager - McPherson
I have been a nurse for 16 years. Most of my nursing career has been in the Home Health field. In 2001, I started working for Kansas Care as a staff nurse and later as a nurse manager. Home Health allows people to manage themselves to the best of their ability without losing all of their independence and comfort. It gives some control back into their lives when it may have been temporarily taken away by illness.

Administrative Staff
Kansas Care also employs a service oriented accounting and administrative staff to maintain and complete medical records and billing functions locally at our Kansas Care office.
